Ronald McDonald House

Many families travel far from home and spend several weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children – a long time to be away or to divide a family. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having mom and dad close by for love and support. A Ronald McDonald House is that “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost.

UC Rotaract focuses primarily on organizations which cater to children who are disabled financially, physically, emotionally or intellectually. So, our partnership with Ronald McDonald House is an especially important one. We are commited to two major volunteer projects with the RMH; one in on Valentine's Day and one during the Christmas season. Check out our "Service Projects" page for details and to get involved!

This coming school year, 2014-2015, we look forward to partnering with other UC student organizations to host dinner and snack time sessions at RMH! Feel free to reach us by our "Contact Us" page if you and your organization would like to work together to host a dinner or snack time event.

Veteran's Hospital

The Veterans Hospital, located right behind the UC Medical Campus and Marriott, provides veterans with health care services. In October of 2013, UC Rotaract forged a close relationship with this community who opened their arms to our organization. UC Rotaract is one of the few UC student organizations who have a relationship with the veterans there.

We help host fun events such as games nights, poker nights, movie nights and ice cream socials! Our organization volunteers at the VA once a week in the evening hours, from 6-8pm. Details on the specific day are always mentioned in the weekly emails!
